Cats are good at hiding pain and illness, so small changes matter.
Call your vet if you notice
- Eating much less, or not at all for a day
- Drinking or urinating much more than usual
- Vomiting or diarrhea that continues
- Hiding more, or sudden changes in behavior
- Weight loss or gain
- Peeing outside the litter box
Emergencies
Straining to pee with little or nothing coming out, especially in male cats, can be life-threatening. So can trouble breathing. Go to a vet right away.
